Default Removing injector wires from 94 3.9

I am in the process of taking the engine and trans out of a 94 Dakota and have already removed the 3.9 from a 92 model to go in it. I had lots of trouble getting the wires loose from the injectors of the donor truck and would like to know the secret to doing this without breaking stuff or pulling wires out of the plug. I plan to move the intake plenum and all over to the 92 engine after installing it. The Haynes manual I have just says to use a sharp tool, but that wasn't much help in taking the engine out of the donor truck. Does anyone have a secret move or at least a link I can go to? I don't want to cause myself more problems. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should just be able to push in the clip and pull up. It may brake after all it is 17 years old and with all the heat from the engine the plastic is weak.
