Default 93 Dakota v8, fi, automatic

Here is my problem:

- truck stalls randomly cold or hot, can restart from 1 min to 10 minutes later.
- when it stalls at highway speed, sometimes I can pump the gas and it will run again, rpm's go to 0, sounds like it is still running when I pump the gas but it is a very muffled rev up sound.

this truck runs like a dream when this problem does not occur. purchased this year back in February. fuel consumpion is a bit high. btw: got her for $1500!

New parts since Feb 2011: fuel pump, o2 sensor, IAC on throttle body, plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor, oil, and all filters.

key on codes since I got the truck, hence why I replaced some of the above parts: 12, 21, 25 and in the last 2 weeks code 27

Any help is appreciated!

Are you getting intermittent spark when it stalls? I am leaning toward the Ceank Position Sensor.

honestly, i dont know. when it stall I can crank it over but it just wont start. then it will start, it could be 1 try or 10 tries.

sometimes lately when it stalls and then starts it wont idle correctly for a few minutes, rpms just hit zero and dies. it will restart every time when it does that but continues to stall without some peddle assistance.

it is very puzzling, i like doing my own repair work but this one just has me by the short ones.

Well then, confirm spark, and check for vacuum leaks (for the bogging at idle).
