Hi Guys I have been following this site for a long time and I need your help again. My 1996 dakota 212,000 sputters short loss of power almost every morning then runs fine the rest of the day. changed the wires, rotor, cap, plugs still continues. Added injector cleaner does not work. fuel pump and filter are only about three years old cannot figure this one out. any suggestions out there? Thanks

EGR Valve. My 85 Ranger was doing the same thing, changing the EGR helped a lot but didn't totally fix it..
My ranger, in the morning, (5 speed manual) when you turn it over, you'd have to press the gas or it'll stall out.. when I went from 1st into 2nd it would stutter like a **** like real bad loss of power but finally would get up and go.
I never really got it 100% fixed, not sure what the problem was.
