Replacing rusted fuel lines along frame engine to pump in tank Help??
Has any one done this ?I need to do the supply and return steel lines.I know I need high pressure on the feed line, will a double flare like on a brake line be ok? Where did you get fittings ,lines etc.TIA for any help
Thanks festerw, were you able to lay in the new lines without putting the truck on a lift?I had heard the dealers don't have older parts in stock,I will be calling around Monday morning hoping I can find an assembly
don't know if this is legal where you live but i replaced my lines with high pressure fuel injection hose, i did put a single flare on the ends i cut, then put the hose on with a small clamp. 10 years later it's still all good. total cost was about $10.
I went with the complete set because of where the leak was and the rest of the lines didn't look all that great. I was actually surprised it was as cheap as that it included the pressure, return and vent lines as well as new flex lines to the tank and fuel rails.
I took the right rear off of the ground to give more room since I dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump at the same time.

You were lucky I called a local dealer Parts dept. he checked his puter it shows no parts available for my 94 ex cab V6 at any dealers in the area so I am in the process of building a new set of lines.Quick connectors to nylon to steel to nylon Oh boy i'm getting a head ache .
