A Posi or Positraction is a LSD Limited Slip Differential. They are junk in my opinion. www.ringpinion.com has two LSD listed. Lockers too.

BEST is relative, how much do you want to spend?
The factory setup is a good one, but don't go to a dealership or just any garage, go to a shop that specializes in rear ends.
You will be money ahead to let a pro do it....

well i still have the stock lsd and i have to say that i have been happy with. the springs in myne have broken so it has no preload (freespins when both are in the air) but still works pretty well till i do a gear swap. hasn't filled it with metal or any other problems other than if you put one wheel on wet grass and the other on the street it will splip alott but it does still drive it forward. it's good for a street truck with some occasional trips to the mud. i'd get something stronger though if you plan to do alott of offroading.

Yes I do. They are great if properly installed. Very easy to install and well worth it. The traction added is unbelievable. The only down side is on the streets you have to take it easy. When turning from a dead stop you have to keep a light foot on the turn to keep from locking it and spinning one tire.
