Default Plenum Fix

I know that the plenum has not been done just because of the condition of the truck when i got it, so should i invest money and time into buy and installing the Hughes Kit? I have never done it before so i know it will be harder but seems like somthin that i could do? What are some of the signs that it needs done? would it be vacuum leaks, burning oil, that kind of stuff? need opinions, it wont be for a while because i have to replace the crankshaft seal, cam seal and stuff like that on my sisters car so my time will be spent on that.

IMO it depends on how long you plan to keep the truck. The Fel-Pro gasket is a decent set and much cheaper than the plate.

Burning oil is a sign, puddling oil in the intake and a vacuum on the breather.

Benefits would be less oil consumption, better idle and slightly better MPG.

Yes I agree. Fix it ether way if you see oil at the bottom of your intake.
