ADS?? Do you mean ASD?

Sounds like a short in the wiring in the circuit.

Only you can find the problem and fix it. We have a downloadable service manual in the FAQ just a few posts above this one in this section. That has all the wiring diagrams.

Default similar ASD fuse problem

Hi Jason, did you ever get your ASD fuse blowing issue resolved? I have a 95' Dakota 2.5liter engine that is doing the same thing. It is intermittant. I've read that someone resolved this by replacing the ASD and Fuel Pump relays. Another post said the PCM was going bad and finally died. Of course many suggest wire harness short too. I found the OBD blink codes gave 25 on ours which is the Idle Air Control Motor short condition. The IAC is about a $50 part, so I am planning to clean up the connectors there and to PCM before buying a part that may be fine. The fuse hasn't popped the last time we ran it and drove it some, but I'm sure it will. Also, wiggled all wire harness that we could get to in the engine compartment while truck running and found no short - the fuse wouldn't blow. Also ohmed out the relays and the coils are good. It has blown while pulling into parking lots twice and while starting the engine once. Quite a troubleshooting nightmare. Thanks for any advise.
