'91 3.9, sky-high idle, IAC?

Default '91 3.9, sky-high idle, IAC?

I made a run to the farm this morning, and something new has come along, my beloved dak demands to idle around 3000 RPM. Needless to say, this presents some driveability issues
The pintle on the IAC is definitely fully extended, it's staying extended further than I've ever seen it before.
I've just read the short note on these in the FAQ, I suppose I'll be trying to clean it in a bit, does anyone have pointers on what NOT to do?

Double check your throttle cable cable to make sure it is not seizing.

i had to get a rebuild kit for my 89. cost about $20 Canadian. mine did the same thing. or you can buy the complete iac if the motor is bad, but it's more expensive.
