Default 93 tuner

Does anyone know of a good tuner that will work on these trucks? My truck wont pass the emissions in the county I live in and they say to much fuel is getting through the exhaust. The problem with this is it is fuel injected so that means it is the computer and I dont know what to do about it. There are no lights on the truck runs great. Thanks

If you are failing your state's emission because of high HC (hydrocarbons or raw fuel) you should probably try a complete tune up first and do an upper cylinder head treatment. If you are failing because of high CO (carbon monoxide, the rich indicator) check your fuel pressure make sure it's not too high. Putting a tuner to your PCM won't fix a problem that you already have. If you have a copy of the emission test results, I can tell you exactly what's wrong based on your readings.

Plus, even if your not getting a CEL, you're probably still throwing some codes. I think if you check them, you'll find your computer is telling you whether your running rich or lean. Not all codes make the CEL come on.

I did a complete tune up before having it tested and the O2 sensor was replaced maybe a year before having it tested. What do you mean by upper cylinder head treatment?
