Default shock recommendations

i need to replace front and rear shocks asap...i don't do any heavy duty hauling or towing... just the occasional run to the dump with household stuff and maybe some tree branches, nothing real heavy..i want the best handling shocks i can get, seeing how i live on these curvy west virginia roads and just the drive to work is like racing on a road course...also i want to stay within a budget of $100-$150 for all for if possible..can anyone give me some recommendations?

I orderd a pair from rockauto.com just the other day. They havent arrived yet so I can't tell you how they are, but the online catalog is huge and prices are insane.... or so they seem to me. I only had a few extra bucks to pay for shipping to Europe... but well, I'm glad some of it is available at all.

which set did you get?? update us when you get a chance to try them out

you're right, rock auto does have some great prices..they only place i saw that was cheaper than rockauto while checking out shocks and rotors was autopartstomorrow.com...plus they have free shipping if you spend 50 dollars(probably not overseas tho)

I got the procomp es9000 and so far have been very happy. Ride the road well and are good enough for light duty off road work.

The fronts are easy to do, the rears are kind of a pain. Stupid design

I went for a pair of KYB somethings, theyre under 'original ride quality' specified for 2wd front, since that's what I needed.

Got them in today, amazingly quick! As far as service goes I like it a lot! Ordered some wipers too, which I fitted immediately, ths shocks require a bit more work. Gonna have to see about that. It all looks ok though, so far so good.
