1991 dodge dakota la 318 5.2 cams and lifters
ok guys i have a lot of questions on this. i was getting ready to order myself a mild hydraulic flat tappet cam, and ran across a post where some one said that in a 1991 la 318 it has roller lifters and a roller cam???? my orginal intentions were to give my engine a little more torque and a little more power then i ran into the roller vs. flat tappet problem. can you switch roller lifters and cam for hydraulic lifter and cam? id appreciate any help/advice on this guys thanks.
heres the cam i was gonna buy

Yes your 91 came with rollers. Rollers are best for performance and less wear then flats. I say stick with rollers, call up www.Summitracing.com they can select a perfect package just for your truck and your needs.
