Default Question for you cold weather guys

I am wanting to get some headers as a start to my build project. However, I use this truck in the winter and have always been told that headers are not great for really cold weather because they do not retain heat like cast iron.

So I am wondering if anyone from a cold weather area (San Francisco is not cold you San Diego people) have had good experience with headers in 0 ish weather, of have I been told wrong for a long time.

The lowest we ever see is -10 Deg for a few weeks length or so early am. But even then no problems on mine. LOL A little off topic but, when it was -6 outside my transmission hose busted due to the cold and high pressure.

I actually never heard of that, but we are no where near as cold as the norther states. I would assume it is true for the Extreme cold temps -30 or lower that it matters. But like I said I have no clue.

The best I can offer is a good BUMP to your thread.
