Default Loss brakes on 1989 Dakota sport

While driving down the street I loss my brakes on my 1989 dakota sport, it gave me no signs of touble before it happen. I checked the brake fuild and found it low, so I checked each tire for leaks, also checked under the hood and traced the line everywhere and did not find any leaks. can the master cylinder be broken and where the hell did the fluid go???

Also how do I check to see if the master cylinder is broke???

any and all help is appreciated, thank you

The master cylinder could be leaking internally where you get poor performance from your brakes. They are cheep and easy to replace. The only thing is you need to bleed all 4 of your brakes to get clean air free fluid in.
