Default Irritating Fan Clutch

I am about to yank my radiator fan out of my 96 dakota and throw it in the garbage. I have gone through 4 diffrent fan clutches and they all will never... ever... disengage. I mean I know they are suppose to engage at a certain tempature or speed then disengage when everything is running like it should. But this stupid peice of noisy crap will never disengage so I got to listen to the constant drone of my stupid radiator fan going down the Highway at 60+ mph. I dont know about you but I am thinking at that speed the fan isnt really helping anything anyway. Especialy at when its 40 degrees outside. What is the whole point of "fan clutch" when it never does when its suppose to? Can sombody point me in a direction to find somthing that actually works. I want to put in an electric fan but I cant see where I can do that because there is hardly enough room for a fan between the pully and the radiator. I am thinking I might give the fan clutch one more shot but I cannot seem to find one that is worth a damn. I can really use some help here because I am at my wits end.

I thought unless you have a electric fan, the fan is always on. Mine is always on, can't say I ever hear it except when outside of the truck though.

Aftermarket clutches always act like that. Get OEM Mopar, it will work properly.

Edit: Here is a great thread on the cheap aftermarket fan cluch to OEM (Mopar) fan clutches.

Holy crap!... was looking at OEM Fan clutches and they want almost $200 for em. No wonder the aftermarket ones suck if they are only $60-$70 a shot. Either OEM rips you off or you actually get what you pay for.

With the engine off you'll notice you can spin the fan by hand. The fan will always spin when the motor is running but when it's cold it will not be spinning as fast as the engine because the cluch isn't locked up, as it get's hotter it wll lock up and spin as fast as the engine providing more cooling.
