front hub assembly
4x4 front hub assembly. what brand you guys like ? how long they last ? oem ones made it 100K which seems pretty good. when i took them off i swear i seen skf stamped somewhere but looked again and cant see any marking. maybe the rust is covering it or im dilusional. anyways i looked at new ones from napa for $100 made in china and didnt feel good about it so i passed. got the precision brand ("national" is stamped on it) made in korea from another store for $118. wondering if i should of went with the timken for $161. was alittle more than i wanted to spend though. hope it dont come back to bite me in the *** later for using korean parts.
on a side not i used timken front axle bearings. when i opened the box it had koyo in there. found it strange

forgot to mention i went to the local dealer to get a price for the oem ones. parts guy couldnt find it in his computer. is he just dumb or does dodge not offer the hub assemblies any more ? figured they would be alot more money than i could afford but just wanted a price anyways
It took me a while to find it in the parts manuals we have in the FAQ. It is under the brakes section.
Part# 4340315 N5 HUB and BEARING, Frt. Drum Axle

$445.00
What is odd is that it is the same bearing for Vipers rear end.

wow thats dirt cheap. any idea of the manufacturer or how long they will last ? they are easy to change but ive read horrow stories about the cheap asian hubs going south every 30k. some havent even lasted that long from what ive read
I used timken hub assemblies on mine I think I paid $157ea for them and a week after I put them on the passenger side went out. They replaced it at no cost but it just goes to show you that even if you buy they highest quality parts they still have bad parts every now and then. They are holding up great now though..
