well im going to get a compression tester and test it it should be fine it runs fine now and then im going to pull the engine clean it up and paint it re gasket it skip the manual trans idea for now and just get new seals for auto trans because it also leaks and the the truck should be good except for squishy brakes

sounds like the best plan....
squishy brakes might just be a little air in the lines...you can google "bleed brakes" and gets instructions on how to do that with minimal mess....brake fluid destroys paint, so be careful to wipe up any spills immediately...

While you are doing the gaskets put you should do a new ring and bearing kit, they are cheap and will keep it going for a LONG time. A quick hone job will be free and will seal up the new rings.
For about $300 you can get a lower rebuild kit, ring kit, and a gasket kit through rockauto.com. So if you don't have any issues you can do a poor mans rebuild for cheap. I do recommend if you have the money or the time to wait till you get the money, you have the heads checked out at least.

2 things.
first, use a period. run on sentences are frustrating.
second, if you have a wet oil pan you might luck out and it be just the pan gasket or the drain plug.
