tires
needing a new set. door panel says 215/75 r15 if i recall. thats a odd ball size around here with almost no selection. was planing to go 235/75 r15 because theres 100 different tires in that size. you guys using the 235 on stock height 4x4 models ? i didnt figure that size would rub on the fender but not sure
I had 235's on my 96 2wd. They fit fine and only barely rubbed when I cranked the wheel to the right 100%. That truck also turned further to the right than to the left, so maybe it had a steering problem.
could be slight differences in brand of tires, also, mine were 225x70....on factory wheels. A bit different offset on after market wheels will move the tires out some, that helps. THere is more room there....
the wife's Impala has plastic fender liners, and they have warped or gotten loose or something, now we get a nice stuttering noise when turning tight in parking lots....with original size tires.
If they fit, they fit...
SOME tire dealers lately have been telling people that they won't put on anything that wasn't a factory size. Costco in particular....
