My dash is all cracked up so I want to swap in something newer. Ive done a swap on a subaru and it was a b****. I just moved and dont have many tools but I wanted to ask if anyone had done this and if it is 'easy.'

Or just get a dash cover.

As far as replacing the entire dash gauges ect no noting is going to be an easy swap. But anything is possible with time and money.

 

I glanced at a digital gauge set; I can't remember where, but quickly ran the other direction after I saw the price. More than I paid for the truck.

 

Does the skin replace what's on my dash now, or does it go on top?

anything can be done but no its not changeable for the newer year to frist gen.. anything can be done.

i removed the dash from a dakota i was parting out. it sucked pretty bad.. broke most of the crap but with time put into it. it can be done.
