engineand transmission swap
ok i have a 360 motor out of a 99 ram 1500 im wanting to put it in my 89 dodge dakota 4x4 im wondering
what transmission and transfer case should/can i use and what years?
should i find a carbed intake and use that?
will my 3.55 gears work?
and what else would i need to complete the swap?
i do have the 360 tourqe converter and i have these casting numbers

Crank:3418640
Head:53020266

The best way is to swap in the motor and use the fuel injection. It will be a lot of wiring but since you have the donor truck you can take your time. If you swap in the motor and all the electronics you can use that transmission.
You can go carbed if you want but most HP and TQ and MPG will be with the Fuel injection. If all you have is the motor I suggest getting a setup from a 92-95 dodge ram or dakota or van and use all the wiring and sensors and pcm to run it. OBD1 is very simple to setup.
Your gears will be fine.
