Default steering adjustment

'96 dak 4x4. toe is good but steering wheel is turned alittle to the left when your driving straight. am i correct in thinking i can turn passenger/driver side tie rod adjusters the same amount of turns to bring the steering wheel back to straight and not throw off the toe ? passenger side tie rod would need to be shortened and driver side lengthened in the same amount of turns. am i missing something or is this a correct way to fix the steering wheel issue ?

if you do plan on doing a backyard alignment, make sure you're steering wheel straight. I would not recommend doing this only if this is an emergency. There are other causes of pulling/steering wheel off-center other than toe, such as camber and/or caster being bad; thus an alignment on a machine could correct those problems.

according to the print out i got, everything was set correct on their machine but they didnt bother setting the steering wheel straight. was kind of pissed about it so im just going to straighten it out my self. this is what happens when 17yo kids run alignment machines
