Hey guys,

I'm looking at rims off a 1990 Chevy. They are 6 lug like my dakota, but I am concerned about driving about an hour and find out they don't work. So does anybody know from experience? I tried searching around but found nothing really helpful.

Why don't you have the seller measure them, so you don't have to drive all that way for nothing.

Check out this link. It gives lug bolt patterns for almost any vehicle, so you can tell if they will fit your truck.

Ya, that link is pretty good. I am pretty sure those are the ONLY vehicles with this bolt pattern. Its unfortunate and hard to find good ones. 2nd gen dakota rims need the banjo bolt on the caliper ground down to fit.
I will probably end up buying rims off of this site soon. (When I order my body lift and get new tires) Its pretty cheap

Won't fit, Chevy/Yota are 6x5.5", we have 6x4.5".

 

Here is the compatible vehicles with the same bolt pattern. This is copy and paste from the FAQ.

 

The only way they will work is if you buy some wheel adapters off ebay. Thats what i did now im running 16x8 aftermarket chevy wheels on my dakota.

 

I am just new on here, but I f you go to a web site like "rims and tires" just type in your vehicle info and they will tell you what your bolt pattern is and offset etc.. Than just type in the info for the chevy rims you are looking at buying. You should be able to compare and see if they will work or not

 

The only problem with using the Nissan wheels is the center hub bore is too small. Our Dodge hub center is a little bit bigger.
