Very bad gas mileage?
So I went ahead and called Berglund Dodge to see how many gallons my tank was because I thought it was 15 and I always got 200 miles on the dash before I fill it up and usually has 3 gallons left and the gas station pump said it pumped 15.3 gallons or so.
It is a 22 gallon.
I always write down my miles and stuff so here are some of the entries in order
220,607, $29.40, 8.523 G
220,830, $48.00, 14.290 G (223 miles on dash)
221,038, $48.35, 14.394 G (207 miles on dash)
221,203, $40.32, 12.260 G (165 miles on dash)
-5 miles sometimes I forget to write it down and I do it down the road.
Any thoughts? Should I bring it in to Berglund for the $99 fee diagnostic?

Tank size has nothing to do with mileage. The fuel gauge is not an accurate representation of tank size. If the low fuel light came on at 1 gallon remaining, idiots would run out of fuel all the time, that's why they give you a large buffer (typically 5-7 gallons).
I calculate 13.45 to 15.6MPG on those fillups, which is pretty average.

Well is your truck manual or auto, and is it 4x4?
Some suggestions to help increase mileage would be: new plugs and wires, o2 sensor, replace the fuel filter, change oil and filter, clean the throttlebody, and maintain proper tire inflation.
I have a 92 dakota 4x4, and I changed all of those things I mentioned and I'm getting 17mpg.

I changed the spark plugs, breather, PCV Valve and hose, distri and distri rotor.. I'll keep a track on the mileage see if it's any better. Wires looked good, will probably change the o2 sensor tomorrow. Oil and filter get changed every 3k miles or 3 months using mobil.
It's an automatic 2 wheel drive.
I also found out something bad about my engine. When I was changing out the spark plugs I noticed 2 bolts missing from the exhaust manifold and 2 from the other side of the engine. I put a screw driver up the hole and I think someone broke the bolts off it, but there is no smoke and no oil leak.
I also have a vice grip holding down the left side of the distributor because the screw broke off lol
