Truck unexpectingly dies, will not start sometimes
#11
When it dies, would it sputter? Or would it die like the key got turned off? If it sputters, the problem is fuel. I suspect the symptom is the latter, like the key being turned off. Look for something that will either turn off all injectors at once, or eliminate all spark. My '93 was doing similar things, but it would start it's self back up if I was going faster than 15mph. I replaced the crank sensor, pick up coil, and finally replaced the PCM, hasn't died since.

Still dies, have not got to the carb plate yet... when it dies it's like the key going off.. all lights are on, but the restart time varies.. it could take anywhere from right away to 5 min, to half-hour... depending on.. sometimes not at all! no check engine light either!
not sure where the problem lies...
Going to wait for a response, thanks everyone for the help, hopefully we can figure this mess out, in the meantime, ill try to find more screwed up splices...

So get this - installed rebuilt computer, makes a high-pitch noise @ computer when key is on - (not engine)... found out by taking theharness and pulling up on it from underneath will stop the loud high-pitch noise.... odd right? but truck starts up fine, ran it all night - did not die
This morning however, check engine light came on giving me code 27 - injection output circuit not responding... now what.... ? Any suggestions?
