Tranny needs rebuild,
Ballpark, what would this cost at most places?
had it serviced a few weeks ago, not it works when cold, but slips when warmed up....

$200 or so for the rebuild kit from napa, everything is included. Service manual has the R&R on it.
$800-1,000 rebuild, you remove it from the truck and take it in, and install it yourself. Any warranty issues you have to remove it and take it in, most don't work on it with it on the truck.
$1,500-2,500 for rebuild by a shop remove and install.
It is always a good idea to rebuild the transfercase at the same time.
I think I paid $2,600 for complete transmission and transfercase rebuild. I had them remove it and install it just in case so I don't have to remove it if there are problems, which there was. With a 2 year warranty.
I wish I just went with a HD transmission like A-518SS from http://www.phoenixtrans.com/Chrysler_Transmissions.html
