Default Lift question

So, I read through both faqs and followed a ton of links, think I've got a pretty good idea of what to do.

Plan is to stick V8 torsion bars on my V6, as well as a 1-2" body lift. I want to get it lifted 3-4", or enough to get 33's on it.

So my question: When doing a 2" body lift and cranking the torsion bars, will I have to modify the steering linkage? Fan shroud? Brake lines? What all is involved to make everything work properly again after doing a small lift?

I didn't see anything mentioning what fitment issues the lift will create, so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

Yes, unfortunately with the body lift you will have to modify a few things. I am not aware about the steering or braking linkage, I don't think so, but you will have to:

Custom mount the bumpers (since they're connected to the frame)
Re-mount the fan shroud (if you have one, its mounted to the body and the engine is mounted to the frame)
And possibly a new radiator hose - OR you can upgrade to electric fans.

That's all I'm aware of, someone will probably correct me though. Good luck!

Here are the installation instructions. http://www.performanceaccessories.co...tions/642X.pdf

No medications to the steering linkage for 4wd or the brakes. Automatics will need to cut and weld in a spacer in to the shift linkage.

Thanks for the heads up guys.

I'll be sure to post some before/after pics when I get it underway.
