Default Talking to a friend

I was at school today and was talkin to a friend about why my truck shuts off after it gets warm. He said that on one of his fords that there is a control unit/sensor on the back of the distributor and that was the cause of the same problem on his ford. Does a 1993 5.2 with a stock distributor have one on the back and should i even worry about it if it does?

There is a pickup coil inside the distributor but that most likely is not your problem. The coolant temp sensor or the O2 sensor would be my best guess.
