gas gauge/fuel pressure problem help!
Hi, i have a 91 dakota 3.9 4x4 auto, i have an issue with the gas gauge/ fuel pressure. Recently when i am driving down the road and i hit a speed bump sorta hard or when i am in the woods and hit a bump my fuel gauge, which isnt correct, it just sits near E cuz i guess th float is stuck or somthing, drops way down to the bottom and the truck cuts out and wont stay running when i start it back up, the truck is not getting enough gas to stay running. i looked in the throttle assy and no fuel was spitting out of the injectors when this happens. if i let it sit for a while it will eventually stop dropping and the truck will run fine. i know this sounds odd and its hard to explain so i made a video. this is just after i hit a speed bump and im sitting on the side of the road.
im am looking for any advice on what to look for cuz i have never seen anything like this before... thanks ahead of time
the video was too large to be an attachment so heres the link:

You only posted for 1 hour and 20 mins and your complaining about no replies.
First thing that comes to my mind is the needles look like they have been removed and installed incorrectly. Next the way the gauge moves down with electrical use. It just looks like you have major wiring problems. The FAQ has the wiring diagrams that is your best bet to trace down your problem.
As for the no start again sounds like a bad wiring problem, maybe the notorious splices, maybe bad fuel pump or bad wiring to the pump. Just find out if you have spark and correct fuel pressure at the time of no start.

sorry ididnt mean complain about no replies i just saw that it had 120 veiws and i thought someone would have had a clue about what it could be...
umm, anyways the truck does have spark when it does this because if i barely give it gas when i start it up it gets just enough fuel to stay running but it starves when you give it more gas.
it happened again when i whent over the speed bump while driving to school, i coasted into a parking spot and after school let out, i was sitting in the parking lot for 20 minutes idling by tapping the gas untill it started running fine again.
are there any sensors or any way that the pcm could shut off the fuel pump?

My truck acted the same way (idled fine, give it more gas it sputters) a few years back. The problem was the fuel filter, which is part of the main fuel pump/float assembly that is screwed into the top of the gas tank! This was a 1995, so I'm not sure if the 91 is exactly the same. Point is, it might be a clogged line due to dirty filter.
My gas gauge has gone funny on me twice (currently dealing with the 2nd time now) where the needle drops to Empty. It's a bad float sensor. It reads the level of fuel and sends a voltage reading to the gauge based on the level. Mine will jump around erratically and then just drop to E after 1/4 tank or so. Yours might have just died out completely if it's just stuck on E. This sensor is again, part of that assembly in the top of the gas tank. Again I'm not sure of a 91 year but it's probably the same.
