hey guys,

I'm looking to replace my trans with one from a junk yard. I currently have the a500 but its shot. Can I use a trans from a cherokee, ram, or durango. If so what years? I would put another one from a dakota but it seems like they all need trans lol. So is there a heavier duty one I can swap in? Thanks

Would I be better off looking for a stronger engine and trans and just do a full swap? What are my options? I'm on a budget.

If your on a budget then a V8 swap is most likely not for you. Just stick with the transmission swap. Rams and Dakotas and Dodge full size vans will be the only ones with the A500. The A518 is an upgrade.
