Default engine timing sensor

I have a 93 Dakota 6cyl manual transmission that I am replacing the clutch on. The instructions I am reading say to mark position of the engine timing sensor then remove it before removing the transmission, however it does not show location or any information on it. Does anyone know the location and what to look for with this engine timing sensor?

They are probably referring to the crank sensor. It should be located towards the top side of the bellhousing. It should have one bolt that holds it in place. Just take a paint pen or permanent marker and draw a line on the bellhousing and the sensor to make sure its installed in the same position when it was removed.
