Default very annoying squeak!

I am trying to find the cause of my annoying squeak. Its coming from the rear half of the truck, which of course is hard to pinpoint by sound from the cab... it only does it when im going slow and usually in reverse, and changes with speed until a certian point in which it stops or i just cant hear it anymore over the exhaust.... but if i put the truck in neutral as its rolling and squeaking, my squeak stops...It started after a night playing in the mud. im thinking i need to check my u-joints... and the drums and all internals were just replaced, and brakes doesnt affect the squeak... also i just changed the diff fluid and it looks good in there as well. (also ran the damn breather hose clear up to the highest point under the hood as i got tired of water getting in the diff)

im thinking u-joints cuz occasionally i get the "clunk" from the rear, when shifting from one direction to the other.

so how do i really test u-joints? or does it sound like something else

I think I have a similar squeek, but only making lefts, I'd love to know what is causing it too.
