Default Strange fuel pump issue.

Walked out to the truck tonight, heard the fuel pump running on it's own.

Trucks starts and runs fine but I do notice the amp gauge dropping slightly.

I pull the fuel relay....it stops. Advance Auto didn't have a relay tonight and it's now too late to get one....if that's the problem.

Any ideas?

Try swapping one of your relays in the box & see if it's still on with ignition off?

Thanks, just did that and the other relay works fine....no continuous running.

Looks like I'm looking for a new relay in the morning. Thanks again!

This reminds me of the time I had a very nice mustang in school and it had an alarm on it. Well in the middle of the night one night me and my parents were sound asleep when out of the blue my horn went to blasting like you were just holding the button down. Me and my dad grabbed guns and took off outside to shoot someone messing with our toy lol and it was the relay had failed. It scared this s*#t out of us that night but its definitely a funny story to tell my kids now.
