Default RE: miles?!?!?!

I bought my 1993Dakota Extended Cab new and it is still running strong.
It now has about 185,000 miles.
The auto trans was replaced at about 130,000 miles
Universal joints and fuel pump went shortly after.
Blower resistor was replaced once.
Battery replaced twice.
Starter replaced at 180,000 miles.
Headlight switch replaced twice (burned out) also replaced harness connecter at switch
Water pump replaced once
Brake rotors replaced about 3 times.
Pads and shoes many times.
Winshield very prone to flying stones replaced about 6 times.
Oil & Filter changed about 40 times. The key to no problems with the motor.
The following problems I live with: Radio has to be turned on about 50 times before it stays on, Int wipers don't work, the hood came open on the highway at 6AM at 65 miles an hour, damaged the roof, smashed the winshield(was replaced) lucky I wasn't killed, and the usual PA State rust.

Overall the best vehicle I've ever owned. My 16 year old wants to take it off my hands.

I forgot a couple other things.

Radiator replaced

The paint is starting to flake off a little.

I have hauled so much stuff in this truck and did a lot of side work $$ This truck has never let me down. Highly recomended to anyone .

1993 3.9L 4x4 sport black
153,000 miles
Has been running 31x10.5 since day two.

My father bought it new picked it up Veterens Day 1992. He gave it to me last summer. Since then I have replaced:

Driver side wheel bearing (whole hub)
replaced transfer case drive chain
new front brake rotors
complete tune-up (did wonders for performance)
replaced gaskets on front and rear diff
new radiator
new thermostat
coolant temp sensor
there is more but that is all I can think of at the moment

in the first fifteen years my father replaced
cat convertor
water pump
starter
and that is about it

future projects
The throwout bearing is noisy so I feel a new clutch going in this summer (not looking forward to that)

timing chain

paint (I will primer it this summer for sure)

I have bucket seats from an eclipse that I am going to mount tomorrow (if anybody is interested I will post pics)

electric fans

as soon as I find some reasonably priced prerunner fender flares I will cut out the fenders (just to **** off my dad)

I have a 96' with the 3.9 and and automatic. Same engine and trans at 153,000 miles. It hits the red line probably 3 or 4 times a day at least most of the time.

I have an 88 dakota 3.9 auto with 185,000km all original. the only major thing that went on it was the rearend acouple months ago. and I also have a 99 dakota 4x4 318 auto with 194,000km and the only thing that went on it so far was a set of ball joints and its in the shop right now fixing the rear end.

I have a 92 2wd sport std cab short bed. Was a 2.5l truck but the previous owner swapped in a 3.9l. It has roughly 235,000 on it. Still runs good. Just went thru some sensor troubles and replumbing the brake lines is in the near future.
