Default flush mount bed box?

anyone know where i can get a flush mount bed box for a 95 slt for ~$230 or less? is there any advantage/disadvantage to a flush mount vs a standard box? also is there any features to look for or avoid?

Thanks in advance.

Only difference should be that the flush mount box will have slightly less storage space.

alot of the non flush mount boxes i have seen dont actually sit in the bed rather they sit on the edge of the bed. is that correct or are they not the right size boxes to begin with?

my non flush box just barley sits on the edge but enough to mount, it came from a s10. the dak's bed is like meduim sized so it can be tricky getting a box that fits perfectly, maybe from dodge

If you can weld you can build one fairly cheap. I priced out some steel (5/8"x16 ga angle iron for the frame and 14ga diamond plate for the panels) for one a couple weeks ago and it came out to around $130 for the steel and another $30 or so for hinges, a latch, and paint.

yea, if i had the tools and money i would definaley build my own custom box, that drops all the way to the bed and the sides, but allows for a ladder rack to be mounted on the bed rail. or a light bar, which id love to have

I might ask around to see if any of my friends knows anyone who can weld. I could do it myself but I don't have the equipment.. And I'm a little out of practice since I haven't welded in over 5 years.
