this on my 93 CC auto to stick conversion. I got another column so I dont have the automatic shift lever to look at no more.
The column I got is also a 93 but it came from a "stick" truck. i would like to swap key cylinders so i dont have the extra key to worry about. These columns are definitely different from the older trucks which I am so much more familiar with. How do I get the key switch out on these? I do not see any spring pin to push as I pull the cyl out of the column...

The factory service manual has the section just for the ignition switch. It shows every pin and screw to remove. It is downloadable in the FAQ.

I went there before posting and my computer said it was too large of a file to download. maybe I'll go ask my dealer buddy if he has one he has a few different FMs from the 90s in his garage, I have several 70s/80s ones...

OK I got it... tried it again message was "too big to scan" not too big to download;
the closest I found was a 95 manual in the FAQ mines a 93....

I went to get back in after I downloaded it and could not find it on my computer had to download it again; no tab above came up to allow me to save or name the file for future reference though.... i hate computers.
