Default Oil Pressure

So i have been noticing my oil gauge dropping down low while at idle but raising back up when i hit the gas. when im idling its around 1/4 but when i give it gas its around 1/2 to 3/4. should i be worried or is this a normal thing. I have never really noticed it before

It's normal for it to fluctuate. When you run it the oil pump spins faster and the pressure goes up.

I've noticed that it will change depending on temperature too. Warmer and the oil becomes thinner (less pressure). Colder and it becomes thicker (more pressure).

The oil pump pressure sensors are not that accurate. You could have some oil pump wear, depending on the age, but I would not worry unless their are obvious signs of problems - i.e high oil consumption or sludge in the engine.
