No Lights
Hello all,
I have a '94 dodge dakota 4x4 that im trying to get on the road before next winter hits, it has sat for some time, due to the oil pump failing. In the process of replacing the oil pump, (not a fun job doing it by yourself btw,LOL) i found several other issues. Ive had to replace, fuel tank straps, brake lines, all the u-joints, the battery, drive belt, plus a few more odds and ends only to find that i have no lights, this includes, dash, tail, reverse, headlights, parking. The only light i can get to come on is the dome light. Things ive replaced trying to fix the problem include: New switch, new switch harness. I know im getting power to the switch, and ive tried the healights in another vehicle and they work. Also, all the gauges work except the tach, which i can get to work by jumping the connections at the headlight switch harness. If anyone has any other ideas, please feel free to comment. Any other questions please ask.....thanks!

I'm assuming you check all fuses including the box under the hood as well as under the dash. Sounds like a bad power or ground issue. You may have to start testing wires see what has power and ground and what doesn't, trace it back to the problem. We have the service manual in the FAQ to download which has wiring diagrams.
