Currently I have a all stock 1990 dakota, with 98k miles its a five speed i want to make the truck look more aggressive as well as give it some off road benefits, I going to the junk yard today to try to find a new dash because I don't have a rpm gauge and the mph on goes to 85, so if yall could tell me what year truck would work it would be greatly appreciated.

 

i had an 89 and all the parts from 87-91 will fit. if you can get "Dakota Sport" parts there the best.

 

beware on the tach install, I tried to add one to my Dak that had the factory gas gauge where the tach would go. I'd try to get the wiring harness from the tach truck too because mine essentially worked as a fuel gauge when I hooked it up

 

Went to the junk yard today, guy wanted 100 bucks for a new intrument pannel with a tach, ridiculous, I'm going to another bigger salvage yard where you can pull your own parts, I now need a blower fan, hopefully it wont be too much. Anyone know where I cold get 31in off road tires with rims for cheap? Or is this truck not worth getting tires for since it has stock 15's on it that are basically new, I have until October 23 till I get my license and start driving her to school, gotta have her looking good by then. Any other mods yall could suggest to give it more power and look more aggressive ? Specifically to the front end its not the bad *** look im looking for.

hey synced, if you want i still have the tach cluster I got from the junkyard if you want it, you'll just have to put your speedometer in it (which is literally 6 or so screws to do if you include the screws for the lenses. If you cover shipping you can have it! Again, I believe it uses different wiring because mine acted like a fuel gauge as the truck originally had a fuel gauge where the tach goes
