Unhappy Wont run

Like bad timing.Things i've done.

Fuel pressure test
Fuel filter(in-line)
Compression test
complete tune up
coil
cam sensor
crank sensor
Timing chain n gears
throttle position sensor
MAP sensor
Idle air control
PCM

Have done all this and STILL doesn't run..Im at a loss...Also want to add when this first came about my truck just died like it ran outta gas.Have checked splice also and looked good n clean!

so it turns over but it wont fire?
you may need to check your ASD relay and make sure you are getting spark in the motor.

So are you getting spark at the plugs? Did you pull up the injectors to see if they are spraying?

I'm getting spark. It does start but only runs for about 10-15 seconds and runs as if VERY bad timing.I have not pulled injectors although I will do so.I had originally changed the fuel regulator and truck ran like new for about 5-6/mo.Then coming back from an appt.it just died as if it had run out of fuel and could not get it running again.I do hear the pump when I turn the key on and the pressure is good.Changed the ASD and Fuel pump relay and did get it started BUT ran poor like bad timing. I need to ask again,I changed the PCM but got it out of a 94 charokee with a 3.9.Do I need one specifically from a 92 Dakota? This is kinda my last option I think.I've changed everything else...

As far as I know the Cherokees never came with the 3.9 V6 Magnum. Looked up at www.autozone.com and in 1994 the Cherokees and Grand Cherokees didn't come with the 3.9. Are you sure it is from a 3.9 Magnum? Are you sure it was a Cherokee?

Could be mistaken to it being a cherokee was almost a month ago.I know for a fact it was not a magnum.Didn't realize that would make a differance.

The pcm you have now will only run a magnum engine. Your going to need the write pcm for that engine and wire harness but even then some things may not work on truck anymore.

WOW all this time FINALLY running again.I had to change the oil pump drive shaft as a few teeth were chipped on it.A mechanic asked me if I had the gear in right,I thought it only went in one way as long as when ya get the cap on the button starts off on #1.NOT...The gears teeth are actually offset. They are closer together on one side then the other.Re-set it and BAM!!!! Got my truck back..

WTF???? Started in again. Can get it started but dies less then a minute later.Have spark fuel and a ton of new parts.Im leaning toward the fuel pump but it doesnt lose pressure.Truck will stall out like running out of gas though. Is also hard to get started now.turns over numerous times and before this was turn key.Would fire right up.I know vacuum leaks would make it run erratic but could this be my problem? I cant seem to find a leak anywhere...
