Default V6 to V8 Swap?

Okay so I have a 92' Dodge Dakota Reg. cab 2 Wheel drive and I'd like some opinions on whether or not a V6 to V8 transplant would be a good idea. If so what size for a nice little bit of power?

I went 5.9l, but opinions vary. In hindsite, I would have gone 340, but I am carbed, not FI. The 5.2 is internally balanced, so no issues with the flywheel. Bigger engines are thirstier engines.

Most recomend the 5.9, the mileage isnt really all that different between that and the 5.2, and you get a good amount more torque. If you just want a DD with some mild towing ability then a 5.2 is generally an easier find, but if you want the extra power opt for the 5.9.
