Emergency!!! Will a 208 from a chev fit into my dodge?? Even if it is temporary until I can locate a proper 231DHD. The transfer case sounds so bad right now.

 

No it will not. IIRC the 208 is a passenger side drop, where ours needs a driver side drop. Also there are NV231C and NV231J those will not work as well.

 

Thank you for the quick response, what i need to know is if there is another transfer case i can use for the meantime.

 

Ok so now the problem has gone from bad to worse, I now have a fricken whole in the side of my transfer case. Need help fast, I can not locate a NP231DHD tc, so i am wondering if anyone knows if there is a tc that will fit my truck.

 

Look on craigslist, junk yards. Some guys will sell em for a benjamin or two and youll save more at a junk yard if you pull it youself. I'm picking up a v8 trans and a 4wd transfer case for 100 bucks on friday
