Stock manifolds are the right deal. If anything take grinder to the insides and shave them out a little more. Honestly I have had my 93 3.9 since it was new off the lot Day 1. I have looked at upgrading this boat anchor. It is not worth it for what is available. You can't get V8 power out of it without putting in just as much money as it would be to just drop a V8 in. Not to mention your fuel economy would still be pretty crappy either way you go. Just my $0.02 about it.

headers always beat regular manifolds. ill see if i can find some this week at my yard.
