Default Still a couple questions

I am still having a couple issues with my truck. 1st, it seems like it misses/has a vacuum leak while idling/sometimes when taking off from a stop. I have checked vacuum lines visually and by spraying carb cleaner on them. I noticed every other time I spray it on vacuum lines around the distributor cap, the idle drops. Visually, I cant find a crack. Recent tune up on truck also to try and alleviate the miss.

Secondly, my trans shifts weird. When accelerating from a stop, it shifts after a few seconds then shifts again within a couple seconds of the first. Also, when doing right under 50 mph, it acts like it switches gears when staying a constant speed. My TV cable doesnt have slack, but my accelerator cable has a little bit...could this be my problem and where do I adjust the slack out of the accelerator cable?

95 dakota, 3.9, 2wd

Sure sounds like you found the leak. Most leaks are where hoses and attachments stretched or shrunk due to heat and don't hold a seal on where they are connected to.

The TV cable doesn't have to have slack to be mis-adjusted. The FAQ has the correct adjustment procedure.

I found a massive air leak where the EGR tube connects to the exhaust manifold. I was throwing a code 32. The gasket was shot. No where in town had one specifically for the truck, but I found one that works at Autozone, and yes it is still a metal gasket

I adjusted the throttle valve according to the sticky, so hopefully its good to go now.
