Cool. It's aways good when you can free up some power.

Unless you've made some major upgrades to your engine or flash tuned it, the only thing your getting from 93 octane is a lighter wallet.

Cleaner fuel lines and injectors, and a freer flowing exhaust is likely where the pep is coming from. That or you like the sound of your new exhaust so much you're not noticing you foot a little heavier on the throttle. :-)

I started using (m)eth free 92 octane and my fuel mileage went from 16.5 to 18.75. 5.2 m 5spd. I attribute that to the 10% more fuel and not the bump in octane.
I also added a new cat and flowmaster. It gave it a decent bump in the top end. Cruises at 80 much smoother now, passes better also.

I dont think its the gas that helped.. its just gas lol, it mainly helped alot after the muffler and seafoam treatment

i used 93 over 87 and my mileage increased from 12 to 14 in the city. then i finally changed teh oil and it increased to 15mpg but then my trans went out. sadly i don't live anywhere close to a station that has ethanol free fuel and i'm not gonna drive 60miles to get some.

I also did a lot of work in the last 6 months on my Dakota. Fuel injectors, kegger mod, cleaned the throttle body, EGR (don't put the gasket on backwards, it just messes things up), and a lot of new vacuum lines. All of this helped the mpg and fuel mileage, but at most it got 17 on the highway.

Don't think anyone was asking you to drive 60 miles to get meth free fuel, only reason I got it was because it was on my route.
