Default 4WD Actuator (CAD) 92 dakota

I read the excellent article in the FAQs, about diagnosing the front axle when 4wd won't lock up. I did the diagnosis and have determined the CAD diaphragm has a hole in it. The problem I am having now, is that I can find actuators for almost every vehicle except a first gen Dakota. Does anyone know if these are available anywhere, and if so a part number would be greatly appreciated.

Not quite sure if this is the part your looking for, or what axle you have, but i think this fits both axles. Hope this helps.

I followed the link, typed in my vehicle specifics, and it said this part does not fit my vehicle. But thanks for trying. I was actually able to find a good one on a salvage vehicle. I can't imagine they don't make these, though.

I had problems with mine a while, back. Got everything to do the POSI-LOCK mod, but fixed the vacuum leak and got lazy. I am still going to do eventually just busy working on other more pressing issues.

If you haven't seen the POSI-LOCK yet look into it. There's one u can buy for like 150 or you can DIY for like 50 or less usually.
