Just loose a little MPG and very slight HP due to having to move more parts while driving. 94-up don't have CAD which is always connected.

If you are low on cash, why lock the cad? then you need to buy lockouts for the front, or suffer tire wear and MPG (onlly one or two but still). Are you having trouble with the system locking in ir did you just hear from some buddys about the CAD system that did not understand it and decide to go this route?
A CAD system is great, it is stronger than lockouts on the hubs and you do not have to get in the crap you are trying to get through when it is time for 4WD.
If you are just trying to get away from the Vaccume part of the CAD the a kit made by lokar makes it cable operated but it is about 200 clams.
Post up what your problems are if any and the fix of the systems are quite easy because there are few componets that fail on them.

Lock it.

You won't notice the MPG difference. There's a reason they got away from CAD setups.

reason i want to lock it is because i am tired of messing with it, i have removed the CAD multiple times, cleaned it, made sure it actuated and still i am getting a clunking sound from my front end.I bought a new Vacuum Switch and checked my Vacuum lines and still seem as if the dissconnect is engaging prematurely while i am driving down the road. Also discovered that my upper control arm bushings are shot and my passenger upper ball joint is bad also so i will be replacing those this weekend.

My truck has the torsion keys cranked and an AAL kit in the rear. Cragar Soft 8 15" Wheels with 31's. Rear Tires are bad also but i just got the truck a few months ago and i have new tired i am gettin through work soon but i wanna body lift it first so possibly i can get 35's under it
