There is a solution. The original poster of this thread is pointing it out and I posted something about trying their solution as I put one into the "spare" pump I have. I didn't like not having it and I got lucky and found a pump out of a later model v8 1st gen that had just come into the yard and put that in before I found the post with the fix. The used pump still had the gas in it as they pulled it to give to me $65 if I remember correctly.

I don't remember seeing an actual link to the actual part. If it was a Dorman equivalent to the valve we need then I can't find one. The OP's truck was a 93, mine's a 94 3.9L. Would you happen to have a link to said valve? I'd buy one just to see if it does fit. Thanks

Yours will have the same style fix. The info is in the post its a doorman 911-001 You can probably get it at most parts stores. They had it on the shelf at Advanced Auto
