Default Is There a Temp Sensor on my Transmission?

Trying to chase down an overdrive issue on my '89 Dakota, and I'd like to check out the transmission temp sensor. Problem is, I don't know if I have one!
Checked the tranny cooler lines near the radiator and the Chrysler shop manual. The shop manual lists a terminal on the firewall connector for "automatic transmission oil temp sensor" but other than that it gives no indication of where said sensor might be found.
It's the 3.9 with 42rh transmission.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Ivan

No you won't have a transmission temp sensor.
The typical reason for no OD is a bad speed sensor or bad wiring includes a bad OD off switch or a bad OD solenoid within the transmission.
