Default Leak in Blower Motor Box (interior)

Hello,

I just finished replacing my heater motor in my 95 dakota. There was some foam where the box cover seals to the motor box. I tried to use gasket maker to seal it when I reassembled. I am detecting a slight leak. In other word I don't think it worked. Probably should have used strip caulk.

Will this be a problem? Is there anything that can happen if it leaks slightly?

This job took me a while. It was my first time doing it. Had to remove the whole lower dash, remove hard to access screws, require the whole thing then figure out how to put humpty back together again. Would prefer not to have to repeat this exercise again if at all possible.

On the flip side, the fan works great!
Thanks

The only problem might be depending on where exactly the leak is, possibly you may leak some heat into the cab. In the summer you might rost if the heat from the heater core comes into the cab. Winter time it won't be bad at all.
