need help with 4x4

I've got a 1992 Dakota v6 5speed and the 4x4 just up and quit working. The light indicator does not light up either was curious what the possible cause would be. Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely the front axle CAD (Central Axle Disconnect) vacuum actuator is faulty. They seem to be no replacements unfortunately. There is write up on checking it in the FAQ in this section.
