Default Auto Trans Line Size

Can anyone provide me the outside diameter of the transmission fluid lines? (From the trans to the cooler at the bottom of the radiator)
Figuring after more than 4 years it's a good idea to finally put hard lines in. Been running transmission fluid rated rubber hose, but with that I can't put the front drive-shaft in (interference issues), which equals no fun!
Thanks.

(Yes, I'm still here, just don't use my truck too much, taking trash to the dump and Home Depot runs)

I don't know for sure but having had mine off recently IIRC they looked like 1/4" lines. I will be replacing the stock lines myself here very soon so I can let you know for sure then if no one else can give a definitive answer.

I just measured an old line I had in the back. OD is 3/8 with a wall thickness of .o45in. My guess it is stainless steel.

yep Crazy4x4RT has the O.D. right, and just for reff the tube coming off the front of the trany is fluid comiming OUT of the trany.. the rear connection is fuild going back in the trany. it goes to the trans bearings, after it was cooled in the cooler..... __________________
add this to your*chrysler*trans. an external fluid filter. i think it will mean fewer inside filter changes.
1. go to auto-zone. get 2210, its called a power steering filter, but it is for transs to. it is for 3/8 tubing. by (magna-fine) be sure to use high pressure hose. Reff:http://www.magnafilter.com.au/magna-fine.html*

Diesels run 1/2 inch lines
there is a reason
each 3/8 lines adds about 15 lbs of back pressure measured at the trans out point
The factory in radiator adds another 15 pounds
this really restricts you lubrication and coolant flow to your palatinates...
I use 1/2 inch oil proof hose and a 12 x 12 Borg Warner (Canada) plate cooler- the one with 1/2 inch fittings
also a trans dapt adapter and full flow filter
